In Mexico in the 1920's, David Siqueros and Diego Rivera gave life to the art of mural painting: an artistic phenomenon that introduced, through spontaneous painting, a formal revolution of depictions with precise didactic intentions. In 1968, Pinuccio Sciola brought to his birthplace, San Sperate, the poetic art of mural painting. Among his scenes painted on the walls, you will find a group of old men intendedly chatting, a young boy poised on the balcony railing, a woman looking out the window and beautiful cartons of fresh peaches. At this open-air museum, you will have the opportunity to see Sciola's house, a magical place filled with murals that will speak to you as you gaze upon their beauty.
