In its exhibitions, the Metropolitan Museum of Art offers works of more than 5,000 years in art history and from every corner of the world. A must. Commonly known as T he Met , this museum is housed in three truly impressive New York City buildings - The Met Fifth Avenue , The Met Breuer and The Met Cloisters .

Skip the queue at the entrance with a day pass that grants you Skip the Line access. This gives you preferential access in all three buildings. It is recommendable to borrow an audioguide to experience the museum of your choice particularly intensively.

Each day pass also includes a discount on purchases in the "Met Store". Just keep your demolished ticket, show it at the ticket office at the Met Store and receive a discount of USD 10 or more on a $ 50 enrollment (excluding the Met Museum area). Limited to one person.

The Met Fifth Avenue

This part houses millions of works from various eras and countries. Weapons and armor, African and Egyptian art, works by indigenous artists in the American Wing, Ancient Rome and Greece or Islamic art are just a few examples.

The Met Breuer

This new and modern seat of the museum is the work of the architect and Bauhaus pupil Marcel Breuer. It houses the contemporary works of art and gives a great overview of artistic means of expression and worlds.

The Met Cloisters

Built to a good extent from architectural fragments of the French monastery, this building (in German "the cloisters") houses the works collected by the famous John D. Rockefeller as well as works of art from the European Middle Ages. It is a true testament to European painting and medieval architecture, which can be enjoyed in an all around fitting atmosphere.
