Take the Stockholm for Kids tour, where you visit the Junibacken Children's Museum on Djurgården Island. The museum is dedicated to the characters of well-known children's books and is interesting for both children and parents.
Take a ride on a story train that takes you through scenes from Astrid Lindgren's books. Here you can meet Alfons Oberg, Petson and Findus and even Tove Janson's Moomins. You can transform yourself into one of the characters from the stories and see theatrical performances daily.
After Junibacken, drive to Skansen, a well-known open-air museum where you can explore Sweden in a nutshell. Here you can see the miniature towns and villages from the 17th to 19th centuries, the buildings of which have been carried over from different parts of the country. You can see past life and crafts like the traditional bakery where the famous Swedish Knackebröd is made or the glass workshop. Skansen also has a zoo, restaurants with typical Swedish cuisine, the Aquaria Museum and a great view over Stockholm.
