This course of one or two weeks is aimed at students, teachers, art scholars and tourists - Italians and foreigners alike. The course is developed around the three cities closely linked to the figure of Raffaello Sanzio: Urbino, the birthplace of the painter, Florence and Rome, to retrace the main stages of his extraordinary artistic journey.
In the first week (8-12 July) the course, taking place in Urbino, aims to deepen topics of contemporary Italian culture, such as art, cinema and food, and to promote the development of Italian language related to the areas covered. Through a participative teaching style that focuses on the learner, students will discover key socio-cultural aspects of Italy today.
The course includes a rich afternoon and evening cultural program dedicated to Raffaello Sanzio and his works. In particular, the main works and characteristics of Raphael's pictorial genius will be illustrated in detail, also through directly experiencing the masterpieces that are kept in Urbino. In addition, you will see the birth of the myth of Raphael and its widespread diffusion in time and space, as a model of absolute perfection, an icon that crosses the boundaries of the spaces he lived, but which finds a living expression in his Casa Natale, true and unique keeper of the myth.
In the second week (July 13-19) the course takes place in the cities of Florence and Rome and includes a guided tour of the main monuments of the two cities that have marked the private and professional life of Raphael, thus allowing participants to live an experience of total immersion in the artistic and cultural world of the painter.
