You can never tire of Sithonia peninsula's string of turquoise bays, pristine beaches and laid-back atmosphere, but this full day tour takes you beyond the coast to unravel a different side to the area. You'll visit the villages of Nikiti and Parthenon and enjoy some free time at Porto Koufo. Travelling past rows of olive groves towards Nikiti, you'll be able to soak up all the colours of Sithonia. Once you arrive, you'll enjoy a guided tour of the old town and have time to visit the open air market, buzzing with locals shopping for fresh produce from the area, clothing and homewares. Mauro says, ‘Keep an eye out for the special olive oil from Sithonia. It is known for its excellent flavour and versatility and makes a useful souvenir to bring a taste of Greece to your cooking when you get home.'
Next up, we'll head for Porto Koufo, passing by a string of bays along the way. It'll soon be your turn for swimming or sunbathing, or you could opt to have a coffee or lunch in a taverna. Finally, we'll enjoy a guided tour of the mountain village of Parthenon, nestled at the foothills of Mount Itamos.
