Muzeum Nauki to jedna z największych atrakcji turystycznych Londynu, przyciągająca rocznie 3,3 miliona odwiedzających. Muzeum mieści kolekcję ponad 300 000 przedmiotów, w tym rakietę Stephensona, pierwszy silnik odrzutowy, rekonstrukcję modelu DNA, jedne z najwcześniejszych silników parowych, a także setki interaktywnych eksponatów. Niedawno otwarto także kino IMAX 3D, gdzie odtwarzane są filmy dokumentalne o nauce i naturze, większość z nich w 3D, oraz Wellcome Wing, które koncentruje się na technologii cyfrowej.
Muzeum Nauki organizuje także „Noc Nauki” dla dzieci w wieku od 8 do 11 lat, podczas której można spędzić wieczór na zabawnych zajęciach i przespać się wśród eksponatów.
