Visit the Museum of London and explore the new exhibit Sherlock Holmes: The Man Who Never Lived And Will Never Die. You'll be able to learn more about Arthur Conan Doyle's famous character and why he continues to influence the world today. The exhibit will take you to Victorian London, where you'll be able to see how the city shaped the stories by examining paintings by Monet and John O’Connor as well as sketches and photographs.
You'll learn about the world-famous detective's literary beginnings with original manuscripts, magazines, and literature which inspired Conan Doyle. The exhibit also includes stage and screen representations, starting with the first stage portrayals of Holmes and moving up to the performances of Robert Downey Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Towards the end of the exhibit, you'll be able to examine the master's forensic techniques as well as his bohemian habits. The display includes costumes and original Victorian artifacts from the Museum of London, including the iconic Belstaff coat and the Derek Rose camel dressing gown worn by Benedict Cumberbatch in the hit BBC television series.
