Učka Nature Park is one of Croatia's best-kept secrets. And with this STEP walking tour, you'll go off the beaten path to discover its knockout natural charms. Let an expert guide lead you through a landscape of alpine meadows, woods and waterfalls where wild boars roam and golden eagles soar overhead. Then, round off with coffee and cake at an historic hotel.
Meet up with your guide, and you'll set off on a hike through the forest-fringed paths of Učka Nature Park to learn about the flora and fauna that thrives here. You'll find out about the park's population of brown bears, hear how locals love their sweet-chestnut trees, and spot over 40 varieties of orchid.
Highlights include a stop by Lovranska Draga waterfall and the views over Kvarner Bay. After your nature walk, it's on to the historic Hotel Draga di Lovran. Round off with coffee and Croatian cake overlooking the Adriatic Sea on one side and the slopes of the Učka Mountains on the other.
