Head out on an adventure to explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula starting with the impressive Snæfellsjökull glacier. The glacier is placed on top of a volcano that is thought to hold incredible spiritual energy. Continuing your tour you get to admire some beautiful geological sceneries filled with lava fields, craters and mountains. The next stop (if the weather allows it) is the spectacular Gerðuberg cliffside, standing on top of the cliff, take a moment to breathe the fresh air and take in the typical Icelandic landscapes.
Ytri Tunga and Lýsuhóll are the two farms you'll visit next. At the first farm, you can see a seal colony occupying the beach, at the second farm you'll enjoy a delicious local lunch. Fully satisfied with the homemade lunch your tour continues to Buðir, a black church and national monument. Following the coastline, you can spot impressive cliffs and rocks making the views dramatic but breathtaking. A stop not to be missed is the black sand beach of Djúpalónssandur. You'll see the shipwreck and ancient measuring stones once used by men to show their strength.
A trip to Iceland is not complete without a visit to a volcano. You'll climb the stairs of Saxhóll's crater to reach the top of this former volcano. On one side you can look into the crater, on the other a spectacular view of the surrounding area. Next, you'll tour the Kirkjufell, this place is maybe one of the most photographed mountains in Iceland and was used as "Arrowhead Mountain" in the TV series Game of Thrones. The peaceful lake of Leynifoss is your last stop of the day, a stunning place surrounded by a lava field. This is a spectacular tour filled with beautiful places.
