The former bustling fishing harbor of Volendam has transformed itself into a wonderful tourist destination. See the boats come and go, taste the local fish delicacies or walk in the narrow allies between the traditional fishermen’s houses.
Located in the world’s first industrial area, the Zaanse Schans is guaranteed to take you back in time to the 17th and to the 18th century, with its preserved buildings, windmills, wooden shoe workshop, and many other attractions.
In this tour you will stay off the main road and you will be brought close to the Dutch countryside. You will visit some of the beautiful and less known villages in the area: Broek in Waterland. You will also stop along the way in a cheese farm where you will taste the famous Dutch cheese.
