Visiting a Masseria, harvesting produce from the garden, having a cooking class are definitely unique activites to experience in Puglia!
Your tour begins by visiting the Masseria, dating back to 1600. Once fortified to defend itself from the attacks of Saracen pirates, the place houses a multifunctional farm rich in history and charm, where the ancient agricultural vocation is combined with authentic hospitality. You will learn to know and use the different types of wheat and cereals, grinding and kneading: how to obtain flour and how to use it.
Each participant will prepare their own focaccia, to be seasoned with ingredients gathered together from the garden, and will make typical shapes of wheat semolina pasta, like orecchiette, cavatelli, and laganari. At the end of your experience, indulge in a tasting of the dishes that you have prepared.
