  • Check out the Dark Hedges and see how it transformed into the 'Kingsroad' in Game of Thrones
What to expect

The first stop of the day will be the Dark Hedges, more commonly known as the Kingsroad where Arya Stark made her escape. The trees were planted 270 years ago by the Stuart family as a driveway to their Gracehill Manor and it's now the most photographed natural phenomenon in Northern Ireland.

Stop at the Giant's Causeway and explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site as you learn its history and folklore including the legend of Finn McCool. The Causeway consists of 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns formed during a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago and offers some of the most stunning views in Northern Ireland.

Then, it's time to move on to Ballintoy Harbour to see the spot where Euron Greyjoy was drowned and crowned king. The directors of Game of Thrones used this site extensively to film thanks to its beautiful harbour and stunning views that really capture the magic and mystery of the series.

Afterwards, you'll head back to the Causeway coastal route where you can take in the spectacular scenery and maybe even see over to Scotland before visiting the caves in Cushendun. This is where Ser Davos Seaworth brought Melisandre to give birth to the baby assassin who killed Renly Baratheon. You'll definitely feel like you've stepped into Game of Thrones!
