From Chester, you will head towards the north of the Lake District following the M6 Motorway for about 2 hours. Arriving at the Lake District you will visit Hawkshead, famous for its connection with Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. The novelist, illustrator and national scientist Beatrix Potter lived nearby the medieval village and poet William Wordsworth went to the grammar school in Hawkshead.
