Departing Dakar at 9.00am you will be on the road to Joal, the hometown of Senegal's first president, Léopold Sédar Senghor, and its connecting island, Fadiouth. There, you will visit the millet granaries, the Saint François Xavier church, the cemetery, and stroll through the alleys of Fadiouth. Then, you will have a delicious lunch at the restaurant la Taverne du Pécheur, before continuing the walk through the rôniers forest and the village of this little town. Finally, you will reach your final destination at Simal Ecolodge by the Saloum river in the late afternoon. You will stay overnight at Simal Ecolodge and enjoy a satisfying dinner before you end your day.
The next day, your day starts with a tasty breakfast to give you the energy to start your day. You will several choices of activities between canoe ride in the bolongs, bird watching, horse riding, or introduction to traditional fishing (also known as longline fishing). After a fun-filled afternoon, you will have lunch in Simal before returning to your hotel in Dakar at the end of the afternoon.
