Evening walking tour of Kazan

Take a walk in Bauman Street one of the oldest streets of Kazan and make a lot of amazing discoveries : fountains, belfry and Epiphany church where Fyodor Shalyapin was baptized and many other monuments. Meet Su Anasy and learn the story of the Cat of Kazan whose monument always attracts crowds.

Then move to the Kremlyovskaya street, which represents an encyclopedia of the Kazan lifestyle since many centuries. Kremlyovskaya is a business street. There you will see institutions, such as the main post office or the Mayor’s office and will admire buildings, which are an embodiment of creativity in various styles, ages, or countries. The street comes to an end with a compound of the University campus.

Next, arrive to the Agriculturalists’ Palace, which is a modern edifice with a luxurious façade at the foot of the Kazan Kremlin. This Palace in somehow looks like the building of Hofburg in Vienna or the Petit Palais in Paris. In front of the building, stans a beautiful green area, that offers an overview of the promenade, the Kazanka River and of an elite residential compound.

Finally, stroll through the Kremlin Promenade, which is the most romantic place for walking in the evening. You will be blazzed with the lights of streetlamps and their reflections on the dark surface of water. It offers also a magnificent overview of the Kazan Kremlin, the Kazanka River and the Millennium Bridge.
