Join this unique excursion which will take you through the Sipoonkorpi National Park by nightfall and will give you the chance to enjoy the park when it's truly peaceful and quiet.
Upon arriving to the national park which is a short 30-minute car trip from Helsinki, your walk begins on a wide and maintained forest trail, equipped flashlights and in the company of a professional guide to ensure a safe journey. The trail is considered easy and suitable for everyone. As the walk commences, your guide will be there to tell you interesting facts about the surrounding area and help identify any odd wildlife sounds you may come across in the dark.
Walking through the forest after dark is a wonderful experience and will surely be an emotional ride for those who have never done it before. Imaginations tend to go into overdrive and you might be able to hear nocturnal mammals and birds such as the Eurasian eagle-owl whose activity is focused in the first few hours after sunset.
You will then arrive at the campfire where you will be able to warm up. You will grill sausages and enjoy a hot drink while enjoying the beautiful setting nature provides. The campfire site is located on a lake giving you optimal viewing for stargazing and fantastic moonlit settings on a clear night.
After the campfire break and nightly exploring you will start walking back to the starting point before returning to Helsinki feeling relaxed after this nature excursion at night.
