See the birthplace of one of the most famous Polish painters and discover his collection of oil paintings, family photographs and much more! Jan Matejko's family home is situated in the Krakow's Old Town. The 18th-century building hides in its interiors the place where the artist lived and worked his whole life.
You will see with your own eyes where some of Jan Matejko's most iconic paintings were created. The permanent exhibition consists of letters, official documents, jubilee mementos and tokens of appreciation. The museum is enriched also by oil paintings and drawings, photographs of the master's paintings taken in the 19th century as well as his collection of books and music scores.
