The tour will start with the discrete but impressive church of Santa Maria presso San Satiro where you will get the chance to admire a unique fresco, designed by the architect of Saint Peter in Vatican, Donato Bramante. This famous painter managed to solve a very difficult problem: what do you do when you don’t have enough room to build a bigger apse? His answer was simple and ingenious. He painted a fake one!
After this unusual experience, the tour will take you to a piece of modern art that will surprise, if not shock, you: the (in)famous “finger” by Maurizio Cattelan, one of the most successful contemporary artists in Italy.
Then, through the narrow and sinuous streets known only by the locals, you will be taken to the “Sistine chapel of Milan”, the celebrated San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, an ex convent built for the Milanese nobility, frescoed by the finest students of Leonardo Da Vinci. Astonishment is guaranteed.
Then, on to the grand finale: Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last Supper, a universe of Art History and mystery that only the greatest Genius of the Renaissance could give you, with guaranteed no-line access.
