Visit the highlights of Transylvania in the company of a professional guide! See the medieval Castle of Corvin and visit Sibiu, the former capital of the region.
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive East, towards Transylvania. The first stop is Corvin Castle. This Middle Age fortress is the biggest of this kind in the southeast of Europe. You will have the possibility to visit the castle at an additional cost. Afterward, you will head directly to Sibiu, the beautiful Transylvanian Saxon city dating back to the 12th century. Sibiu is largely appreciated in the world - the city was declared both the European Capital of culture and the European Region of Gastronomy. The last title makes Sibiu a perfect spot for a lunch break- Try some delicious local Romanian or Saxon dishes in a local restaurant.
After the break, go for a guided stroll of the Old Town. Visit St. Mary Church, Council Tower, Liars’ Bridge, Grand Square, Small Square, Brukenthal Palace, defensive towers and walls and the Orthodox Cathedral.
At the end of the tour, you can choose to stay in Sibiu and continue to the exploration of Transylvania or go back to your accommodation in Timisoara.
