What to expect

Experience the real Fuji mountain with the experts in small groups that use the less crowded routes. You will be offered Mt. Fuji Bullet Train pick-up and drop off. Taking the bullet train is absolutely the fastest and safest way to get to Mt. Fuji. (It only takes just over 1 hour from Tokyo Station) The bullet train eliminates all the daily traffic jam headaches and highway delays. Starting and ending your climb at Shin-Fuji Station is the best logical option as you can easily access Bullet Trains South to Kyoto or Osaka, or North to Tokyo or even to Hakone after or before your climb.

The 2-day tour is an experience of a lifetime, it takes a good 8 to 10 hours of physical effort. Mt. Fuji is characterized by severe elevation gains, rapidly changing weather and steep inclines. The climb is unlike any high-altitude quest one will ever attempt. Nonetheless, reaching the peak of Mount Fuji is very rewarding. As you stare down at the world below and watch the sunrise, you feel a huge sense of accomplishment realizing just how high you have climbed, it is truly a satisfying and memorable experience.

Your quest for Mt. Fuji begins at the 5th Station, the very point where the adventurer is unmistakably separated from the common tourist. You first embark on a 4-6-hour ascent to the 9th station, After a short rest in a rustic mountain hut, you advance in darkness on an overnight 2-hour trek to the summit. It is here where you witness the most spectacular sunrise of a lifetime. The amazing sunrise is followed by a challenging 4-hour descend to the 5th Station.
