Runa Foundation invites those visitors curious about guayusa tea and Amazonian indigenous culture on an exciting pre-dawn adventure into a local Amazonian community. Join natives for their morning ritual and listen to tales of traditional folklore while sharing gourds of guayusa, an Amazonian super-leaf naturally packed with caffeine, polyphenols, and 15 essential amino acids. Explore local farmers' agroforestry plots, called “chakras,” and observe firsthand how guayusa is grown. After, visit the offices of the Runa Foundation, an important advocate for Fair Trade farming working in tandem with the Runa factory—the only place in the world where raw guayusa is turned into loose-leaf tea parcels ready for worldwide shipping.
