What to expect

Explore the most famous works and names in contemporary art on this 3-hour guided tour of the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin! Originally built in the mid-19th century as train station, the neoclassical structure was converted into the Museum for Contemporary Art in 1996.

Your tour will start with the avant-garde works of artists who experimented outside the traditional artistic bubble. You'll be able to gaze upon the great works of Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, and Roy Lichtenstein. You'll also be able to experience more complex displays and film spaces made by Paul McCarthy, Jason Rhoades, and David Weiss.

The tour will also take you through the part of the building for Joseph Beuys, with rare works, media archive, and items of this unconventional, yet brilliant, artist.

You'll have time for a coffee break in the Sarah Wiener Café before moving on the contemporary painting collection, with works by Gerhard Richter, Georg Baselitz, Neo Rauch, and Daniel Richter.

This tour will give you a thorough exploration of important works of art and their creators as well as the connections between them and artists of different eras.
