Kona is one of the few unique coastlines in the world with numerous species of wildlife year-round. You have the opportunity to encounter 17 different resident whale & dolphin species, turtles, sharks, Hawaiian Monk seals, various species of birds and much more. Experience the military grade Zodiac Hurricanes - the same boats used by Navy seals as explore the diverse habitat provided by Hawaii’s deep underwater geography, an ocean safari for the true adventure seeker! All participants are highly encouraged to bring cameras along not only for their own photographic experience but the opportunity to become a valuable contributor to citizen science along with Captain Zodiac. This is not a snorkeling excursion, however, wearing swimsuits is recommended in case the opportunity arises to jump in the water. As this is a marine wildlife watching tour, no guarantee encounters, however with the abundance of year round ocean residents, the chance of no sighting is low.

- A minimum of 6 passengers required of each departure. In case the minimum is not met on a specific day, your reservation will be moved to another date
- In the unlikely event that the tour operator is unable to run a trip due to weather conditions, minimum not met and inability to re-schedule, you will be fully refunded
- Due to the nature of the excursion, children under 4 years of age, seniors, pregnant travelers and guests with back or neck problems are not allowed on this tour
- It is recommend to wearing swimsuit, bring your own camera, towel, light cover-up/sweater, sun protection, hats, sunglasses, reuseable water bottle
- In order to protect Hawaii’s coral reefs, Hawaii became the first state to ban oxybenzone and octinoxate. Sunscreens that include these ingredients are not allowed
- There is free public parking in front of Captain Zodiac Snorkeling and Whale Watching tour office (the meeting point)
