What to expect
Come enjoy grazing sheep passing on every turn in a city merged with nature surrounded by tropical fruit trees! Head right into the forest for an exhilarating close up encounter with the some of the sweetest honey producing bees in Africa. See one of the fastest growing income generating activities in Ghana's agriculture sector whilst in the company of a locally born beekeeping expert. First, join your local guide and learn how to detect for infestation, colonization, and decolonization in beehives. Then, go out to the hives and put your new knowledge to use as you check for these signs. After, participate in hive baiting and positioning before taking a break for lunch. After your meal, take part in the construction of a beehive. Building and maintaining homes for bees is so easy and fun you will be sure to enjoy yourself!Included in the tour price is the option to stay overnight in dorm-style rooms at Ebankese Foundation as well.
