Following pickup from your hotel in Chennai, your first stop will be at Fort St. George: believed to be the first British establishment in India and a prominent example of military architecture style. You'll visit popular landmarks inside the fort, including St. Mary's Church and Wellesley House.
Next, you'll head to San Thome Cathedral, built in the 16th century by Portuguese explorers. From there, you'll move on to the Kapaleeshwarar Temple: a Shiva temple which displays an impressive Dravidian style of architecture, where you will observe inscriptions that date back to the 12th century.
Continue on to the Government Museum and Art Gallery, one of the most renowned museums in India, which houses various ancient bronze artifacts and other valuable historical objects.
In the evening, you'll go to Marina Beach: one of the longest beaches in the world, with its promenade stretching 3.7 miles (5.9 km) in length, with golden sands looking out toward the clear blue sea. You'll have the chance to experience the beautiful sunset at Marina beach.
Following the conclusion of your tour, you'll be dropped-off at your hotel.
