Once you meet your guide, set off to explore the heart of the island's capital. At St Spiridon's Church, which has the highest bell tower in the capital, you'll encounter deep devotion to the patron saint of Corfu. Since his death in the 4th century, it's said that St Spiridon's shoes still wear out regularly, as a sign of his travels on behalf of the faithful.
