What to expect

This Belfast day tour will start in Belfast and take you on a tour of the city. In the city of Belfast you will be introduced to the complex political divide and the culture of the people. You will also have the opportunity to see many other gems of the north including historical and natural treasures. Your guides have a deep understanding of Northern Ireland, its troubles and the surrounding historical places.

Your guide will take you first around west Belfast, to view the famous ( or infamous ) Peace Wall erected to separate the loyalist and republican communities. You will also have the chance to visit the Republican museum, which is home to many historical artifacts and art installations by prisoners. You will then have some free time in Belfast to explore its many attractions. (We highly suggest you change some money to Sterling pounds as you are now in the U K.)

Then your tour will continue to the Harlem and Wolf ship yards where the Titanic was built. Your northern adventure has only just begun as we head to the town of Downpatrick. Here you will visit the Saint Patrick Centre and Down cathedral where you will find the grave of Saint Patrick himself. We then head for Dundrum and visit it’s fantastic Norman castle. Climb to the top of the fortified walls where you will have an amazing view for miles. You then move on to The Mourne Mountains where you will have the chance for a photo stop at an area of outstanding beauty at Spelga Dam. Ask your guide to show you gravity hill and watch your tour bus ‘roll up’ a hill all by itself!!
