Korcula island has everything you'd want out of a daytrip from Dubrovnik – traditions, a beautifully preserved old town, vineyards and folklore. As the sixth-largest island in the Adriatic, it makes for a fascinating trip, made all the better with a tasting of wines from the Peljesac peninsula.
Before you even reach Korcula, you'll stop off in Ston to visit the saltworks before continuing to Orebic to catch the ferry to Korcula. As you approach it, you'll spot the island's coves and green-studded landscape ahead. On arrival, your guide will show you around the old town, and introduce you to the island's greatest legends and traditions.
After a wine tasting, you'll have free time to explore – go in search of where locals say Marco Polo was born, pick a restaurant or poke around the narrow streets, churches and palaces. On the way back to Dubrovnik, we'll stop for one last wine tasting at Frankovic winery in the heart of the Peljesac peninsula.
