With vast natural spas and miles of pristine sands, Turkey is a nature lovers paradise. On this trip, you'll head to Krater Mud park to relax in the sulphur-rich springs and Iztuzu beach – one of the world's premier sanctuaries for loggerhead turtles. And in between, there's a delicious barbecue lunch to enjoy.
First up is Iztuzu beach, home to the Sea Turtle Conservation Centre. Founded by British-born June Haimoff, it's now a top conservation and breeding site for the rare loggerhead turtle. Known as Captain June by the locals, the 94-year-old still lives here and after a tour of the facilities, you'll get to visit her research hut where she's dedicated her life to protecting these fascinating creatures.
After a tasty barbeque lunch, it's on to Krater Mud park. Kids will love to slip and slide along the mud streams while adults can unwind in the natural, thermal springs, said to have healing properties. After soaking in the therapeutic mud, you can kick back in the open-air hamam before rinsing off in the ecological pool and heading back to resort.
