The tour starts from Piazza della Signoria and continues towards Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, until we reach the part of town located on the left bank of the river known by Florentines as Dilladarno. Inquisitive visitors should not miss a stroll through this genuine and authentic neighborhood where you can savor the so-called "florentinity", since these areas have been less affected by mass tourism.
We will visit Piazza Pitti, dominated by the magnificent Pitti Palace - the former residence of the Medici family and other important families, and currently the headquarters of six museums.
Moving on, we will visit the Santo Spirito Basilica, locatedon the homonymous square, a true symbol of the Oltrarno and Florentine Renaissance. This is Filippo Brunelleschi's last great work and it hosts masterpieces from different historical periods, including a wooden crucifix carved by Michelangelo at the age of 18.
