This tour will take you on a panoramic drive out of Geiranger and all the way to Norddal to visit a traditional goat farm. Along the way you will learn more about the area and you will make a few stops for photos.
Your day will start with a drive over the iconic Eagle Road, a spectacular road with 11 hairpin bends. On the steep sides of the road you might spot goats grazing grass. Once you arrive at the last hairpin bend, the bus will stop for a break. You can walk to the platform for a majestic view over the Geirangerfjord and the waterfall “Seven Sisters”. You will immediately understand why this fjord is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The bus will then drive along Eidsvatn, a beautiful lake in Eidsdal which is popular for trout fishing amongst families. After a short photo stop at the lake, the excursion continues to the idyllic Herdal Summer Farm. This farm has been operating for over 300 years and here you will find goats, cows and fjord horses. The owners and their staff will gladly tell you all about the farm and invite you to taste their homemade goat cheese.
