After an early start, you'll arrive at Giza, location of one of Egypt's seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First up is the only remaining wonder of the ancient world – Great Pyramid of Giza. With a local guide, you'll learn all about this vast enterprise, built for the pharaoh Cheops. See, too, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure before standing in awe beneath the Great Sphinx.
And there's more. After lunch, we'll head to teeming central Cairo to visit the Egyptian Museum. Home to the world's biggest collection of pharaonic artefacts, including the solid gold mask of King Tut. Wander spellbound through its main areas, marvelling at everything from jewellery to eons-old mummies, sculptures and more.
