Proceed to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth, recently listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, home of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha, The visit will take approximately 1 hour. Continue your excursion becoming immersed in the culture and history of the picturesque city of Kandy. Last capital of the Sinhala Kings, Kandy is the second-largest city of Sri Lanka. Considered the cultural and religious center and part of the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka, it is listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
After lunch, head to Peradeniya to visit the Botanical Gardens which is approximately a 30-minute drive from the Kandy city. The botanical gardens were established in 1821. Home of more than 4000 varieties of plants such as orchids, spices, medicinal plants, and palm trees, the total area of the garden is 147 acres of land.
