Backwaters of Kerala Tour
- Experience the hospitality and cooking skills of locals in Kerala
- See the heart of rural Southern India.
Kerala backwaters are a chain of lakes and lagoons lying parallel to the Arabian Sea. Kerala has been named by the National Geographic Traveler as one of the ten ‘Paradises Found” with its great geographic diversity, and unique green environment.
In this tour you will be accompanied by a local guide through the waters on a canoe, visiting fishing villages and snapping pictures of the local life. The backwaters are in fact an integral part of life in Kerala, impacting how people live in local villages, their customs as well as culture and food traditions.
A local family will greet you in Kerala and you will get to enjoy a lovely lunch as well as a cup of chai tea, while chatting with them and learn about how they live.
Besides a view of the local beauties, this tour aims at letting the visitor experience the heart of rural Southern India.
