The first stop of this tour is Batu Caves, a limestone hill that is said to be around 400 million years old. To get to the top of the hill, guests have to take the 272-step concrete staircase. Once the entrance is reached, guests can see some of the deities and shrines inside. Apart from the 140-foot Hindu deity, this cave complex also houses a 113-year-old temple alongside other Hindu shrines. Once a year, Batu Caves also hosts the annual festival called Thaipusam, a colourful annual procession in honour of Lord Subramaniam.
Next, guests will proceed to a Batik Factory. Here, guests will see just how Malaysia's traditional clothing is made from raw materials. Batik is also a way of painting with designs that normally range from leaves and flowers to butterflies and other geometric shapes.
Finally, guests will visit Selangor Pewter, a producer of carefully-crafted utensils and jewellery. These area normally made from copper, tin, and antimony. By the end of the tour here, guests will be dropped off at their respective hotels signalling the end of the the half-day tour.
