The Troodos Mountains are an ideal respite from the bustling coastal towns. On this trip, you'll pass by the legendary Mount Olympus and visit one of the holiest sites in Cyprus – the Kykkos Monastery. Visiting mountain villages along the way, you'll enjoy a glimpse of life in the highlands and Greek Orthodox rituals.
We kick off with a drive to Arsos before moving on to explore the largest and most lavish religious institution in Cyprus. Nestled in the heart of the Troodos range at over 1,000 metres above sea level, Kykkos Monastery was founded nine centuries ago and your guide will fill you in on its legends.
You'll be able to explore its cloisters and courtyards, and admire its rainbow-coloured mosaics. Afterwards, it will be time for lunch. The afternoon takes on a gentler pace as we visit the famous Byzantine church of Archangel Michael before taking in more mountain views on your return.
