On this private tour you will discover Lisbon, one of the oldest cities in Europe with the help of an experienced local guide.
The tour will start from your hotel and you'll head towards the major sights of Lisbon such as Belem historical neighborhood (Belem Tower, Discovery Monument, and Jeronimo's Monastery), built after Vasco da Gama discovery of India, in late 15th century.
After, you will make a quick stop at the most famous pastry shop in Portugal, Pasteis de Belem, founded in 1837. The tour will then head towards central Lisbon, admiring the major squares such as Rossio Square and Commerce Square, and all the history behind the Portuguese Enquisition on the 16th Century. During the afternoon and after lunch, we will start from Restauradores Square, and follow up the visit to Lisbon Downtown, passing by the old Santa Justa Elevator, admiring the narrow streets of Alfama. You'll then visit Lisbon Cathedral, originally built more than 1000 years ago, and admire views towards Lisbon Castle (St Jorge), passing by Chiado, Bairro Alto and some amazing viewpoints like Portas do Sol and Santa Luzia.
The tour will end with a visit to Parque das Nacoes, the new and modern part of the city, near the Tejo River, that hosted Expo'98, built to celebrate the 500 years of India's discovery by Vasco da Gama.
