Visit the American Cemetery and Memorial, the resting place of US soldiers who lost their lives during WWII. Covering 152 acres, the cemetery contains the largest number of graves of any other cemetery for US personnel killed during World War II, with a total of 17,191 and 36,286 missing in action who are recorded on the walls of the memorial.
Your driver will then take you along the scenic Roxas Boulevard, one of the best locations to see the beautiful sunset over Manila Bay, and through Luneta Park (also called Rizal Park), one of the most significant green spaces located in the heart of Manila. A monument enshrining the remains of the country's national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, is the park's symbolic focal point.
Another must-see included in the tour is Intramuros, one of the oldest districts in Manila known as the "Walled City". Admire the ruins of a church and other relics dating back to the Spanish Conquistadors era within its ancient walls and follow its cobblestone streets to get to San Agustin Church; built during the Spanish colonial period, this Catholic church has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Fort Santiago, one of the oldest Spanish stone fortresses in the Philippines, will be the last stop of the itinerary. Here is where Dr. Jose Rizal spent his last days in captivity and wrote his famous "Mi Último Adiós" (My Last Farewell).
