The first and most eagerly awaited floriculture event of the season: a two-day exhibition-cum-market with 30 carefully selected nursery gardeners, invited for their specialization and the quality of their work. Categories on show include: annual, biennial and perennial flowering plants; plants and shrubs for gardens and terraces; aromatic plants to add fragrances and flavors to your spring salads; winter vegetable plants; rustic plants for the front door and the backyard; bulbous plants in bloom between late winter and early spring; cacti; furniture, tools and products for maintaining your garden and orchard; collection of acacias; seeds; gardening books; and botanical illustration books.
The event will also have a diverse activities program: meetings and book presentations on gardening; practical pruning lessons; the inevitable 'the gardener answers' meeting, and creative workshops with a floral theme for the little ones.
The splendid Villa Necchi Campiglio in the heart of Milan, designed by the great architect Piero Portaluppi, will provide the setting for the event. A unique opportunity to admire the stunning artworks displayed in the Villa's rooms and to experience the sophisticated atmosphere of the 20th-century Milanese bourgeoisie.
