Polotsk is the most ancient city of Belarus, the capital of the Polotsk region - the first Belarusian state. It is located at the confluence of the Polota River into the Zapadnaya Dvina, right at the confluence of these rivers, on the hill where the fortress was located at the time, which gave rise to Polotsk.
During the tour you will visit the Saint Euphrosyne Convent where the relics of Saint Euphrosyne of Polotsk are kept. You will then visit the Cathedral of Saint Sophia (13th century), built on fragments of the Cathedral of the 11th century, see its museum, and go down into the vault.
