  • Tap your feet to live jazz on a two-hour cruise on the Mississippi River
  • Take a tour of the historic steam engine room
What to expect

The Paddle and Wheel is a combination of the steamboat Natchez cruise 'paddle' with the Super City Tour 'wheel'! First, you'll embark on the exciting 2.5-hour Super City Tour by motorcoach, then board the historic Steamboat Natchez, one of six authentic steamboats left on the Mississippi River. Get the chance to experience a Steam Calliope Concert daily. Feel the beat while tapping your feet to live jazz on every cruise available seasonally. This day cruise takes you back to times where cotton reigned supreme and life was slow-paced as the current on the Mississippi River. Listen to the captain’s narration of the highlights of one of the world’s most bustling ports. Take a tour of the historic steam engine room and learn how steam powers the engines to turn the paddlewheel and provide the power for the tunes of the calliope. You'll also catch sights of the Chalmette Battlefield while cruising. This is the battlefield where Jean Lafitte and his buccaneers joined forces with Andrew Jackson to defeat the British in the Battle of New Orleans.
