As one of the top 10 wreck dives in the world in almost every list there is, the Zenobia wreck off Larnaca is a must. So if you're in Paphos and you're in the mood for an out-of-this-world adventure, this is just the ticket.
You'll be picked up and brought to the marina to hop on a boat and glide out to the wreck site. And then the fun begins. Part of the thrill is knowing the story behind the Zenobia. It was a ferry on its maiden voyage in 1980 – laden with articulated lorries, tractors and more. A cargo worth millions. It wasn't sunk by a storm or a collision but by a simple software malfunction. But the lack of a Hollywood ending has been a boon for divers.
The wreck near the surface, visibility is excellent and water temperatures comfortable. You'll make two dives. On the first, you'll explore the stern and pass the trucks. And on the second, you'll go into the bridge and explore the cafeteria. Then, back on the boat, feast on a freshly prepared barbecue as we sail back to port.
