This full-on Saigon excursion packs so much into a day that you'll be pinching yourself on the way back. Now known as Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest city is loud and proud. Visit the famous wartime Cu Chi tunnels and explore the city on a whistlestop sightseeing tour.
After an early pick-up, head to Phu Quoc Airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, head by speedboat for the Cu Chi tunnels where you'll discover the conditions Viet Cong soldiers endured during the Vietnam War.
Then, it's on to Saigon by speedboat for lunch. Weaving through scooter-clogged roads in the afternoon, you'll see this high-octane city's best bits. There are stops at Notre Dame Cathedral, the Opera House and City Hall – all dazzling examples of the orient-infused Beaux Arts French colonial architecture. There's time to visit Ben Thanh Market before catching the plane back.
