Not far from the beautiful sea resorts of Caorle and Bibione there is a really charming medieval village, Cordovado, with a fascinating Castle named 'The Castle of the roses'. You could spend a different and particular evening plunging into an enchanting environment made of history, nature, amazing views, colors and scents, elegance and Renaissance-Venetian style.
We recommend starting the visit from the south tower to continue inside the historic village and visit to the wonderful gardens of the Piccolomini-Freschi Palace, a building dating back to the late 1500s and built in the classic Venetian style. Then, you will explore 'Palazzo Agricola' and the small medieval church, recently restored and preserving a fresco attributed to the Giotto school. The gardens are filled with plants, bushes and climbing roses and the park can also boast a big labyrinth of Damask roses in a radial pattern, which blooming makes the walk inside it a delicate immersion in colors and scents.
