A fascinating and unique journey through the centuries to explore just how much Decoration and Ornament are a fundamental part of human life and nature.

Discover how Ornament is not just a simple and superficial embellishment but an instrument of communication. Learn how it can be seen as a phenomenon that pervades our daily lives and that is rich in underlying meanings of a philosophical, sociological and anthropological nature.

In addition to some pieces of Protohistory, the exhibition will span over 2000 years of art history, from the Roman Age to the Middle Ages right up to the present day. You will be able to find works by artists such as Albrecht Dürer, Leonardo da Vinci, Giovan Battista Piranesi, William Morris, Koloman Moser, Maurits Cornelis Escher, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Giacomo Balla, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Peter Halley and Shirin Neshat.
