At the heart of Trastevere, discover Palazzo Corsini and the Gallery of the same name which exists thanks to Cardinal Neri Corsini's initial collection. Over the years, paintings, gifts and artworks received by the Corsini family and Pope Clement XII when he was still a cardinal were added to the original collection.
Today the gallery features works by Fra Angelico, Jacopo Bassano, Caravaggio, Rubens, Jusepe de Ribera and many others. This is also home to the Accademia dei Lincei with its National Library of the Academy of the Lincei and Corsiniana. In the garden you can find Rome's Botanical Gardens.
