What to expect

Go on a private adventure to hunt for the northern lights. Your professional guides are informed with the local weather conditions and aurora forecast and will brief you about these details before the tour. They know the best local viewing spots and will do everything to let you admire the mysterious aurora.

As professional photographers, your guides will help you capture the best shots of the dancing lights once you have found them. Because this is a private tour, the tour can be adapted to your wishes. Just ask your guides and they will help you!

What to remember

This is a private tour for four persons, the minimal amount of tickets to buy is four
Remember to bring your own (DSLR) camera, phone or device on the day of the tour
If you don't have a (DSLR) camera don't worry, your guides will also take pictures for you during the tour
When unable to find the northern lights, focus will be laid on night photography in the middle of arctic nature
A minimum age of 10 years is required to participate
Pick-up and drop-off is possible from selected hotels (find a list of pick-up locations HERE) within a 10km radius of Rovaniemi, local supplier will confirm pick-up time after booking
In case you do not use the pick-up, please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before departure

This trip gives you the chance to see some of the Arctic's residents in an authentic wilderness setting. Elves will accompany you on a scenic journey to the park, the most northerly wildlife park in the world. You'll spot polar bears, Arctic foxes, huge elk, and lynxes, as well as 20 different species of rare bird. Keep your eyes peeled for wolves and wolverines, too. After plenty of photo ops, it'll be time for lunch, followed by a visit to the Fazer Chocolate Shop to stock up on sweet treats.

Rovaniemi Elf Adventure Tour

Set in the heart of the magical forest, this is an adventure for all the family - what's more, it's hosted by Santa's specially chosen helpers. You'll head into the depths of the Finnish forest where all the elves will be busy at work and there to host you and your family. You'll warm up by making handicrafts with Mrs Claus, singing some Christmas songs and turning your hand to cookie decoration. Then, the lumberjacks will be on hand to help find a tree for you to decorate. Afterwards, head out into the snow for fun and games, or snuggle up indoors with a gingerbread biscuit and berry juice.

Rovaniemi Husky Sleigh Tour

This is what a Lapland Christmas is all about. Where else can your family go on a husky trail with elves? First up, you'll learn all about huskies while keeping cosy around the campfire. Then, it's time for a breathtaking sleigh ride. One of you will take the reins while your passengers – a maximum of three people can fit on the sleigh – settle down for the exciting ride.
