What to expect

Experience life in the arctics with this combo tour. Both snowmobiling and ice fishing are two daily activities for Finns.

Your guide will show you through snowy fields and wild arctic forests to a frozen lake, only reachable by snowmobile. Once there, pay attention as your guide shows you how to drill a hole in the ice. Then it is time to sit and wait for the fish to bite.

Look around to admire the white frozen world surrounding you. You can warm up around a bonfire after your ice fishing experience. There will be some sausages and hot drinks and your guide will share some stories about the area. In the end, you will step on your snowmobile again to drive back.

Meet your guide at the Arctic Snowmobile Park in Santa Claus Village. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure.

What to remember

A snowmobile is shared with another adult, single riding is available for a supplement
Children (0-14 years) will be seated in a sledge behind the guide's snowmobile. It is recommended that one of the parents sits with a small child for its safety. If a child (over140 cm) wishes to sit on a snowmobile as a passenger, a full adult price will be charged
You need a valid drivers license to drive a snowmobile, please remember to bring your with you on the day of the tour
Pick up is possible within a 10 km radius around Rovaniemi, please contact local supplier directly to confirm time and place. Pick ups will take place from 30 minutes before starting time, please make sure you are ready

Lapland Wildlife Safari Tour

This trip gives you the chance to see some of the Arctic's residents in an authentic wilderness setting. Elves will accompany you on a scenic journey to the park, the most northerly wildlife park in the world. You'll spot polar bears, Arctic foxes, huge elk, and lynxes, as well as 20 different species of rare bird. Keep your eyes peeled for wolves and wolverines, too. Rovaniemi Elf Adventure Tour

Set in the heart of the magical forest, this is an adventure for all the family - what's more, it's hosted by Santa's specially chosen helpers. You'll head into the depths of the Finnish forest where all the elves will be busy at work and there to host you and your family. You'll warm up by making handicrafts with Mrs Claus, singing some Christmas songs and turning your hand to cookie decoration. Then, the lumberjacks will be on hand to help find a tree for you to decorate. Afterwards, head out into the snow for fun and games, or snuggle up indoors with a gingerbread biscuit and berry juice.

Rovaniemi Husky Sleigh Tour

This is what a Lapland Christmas is all about. Where else can your family go on a husky trail with elves? First up, you'll learn all about huskies while keeping cosy around the campfire.
