On this hike, you will visit the scenic Jasmund National Park with archaeologist Dr. Katrin Staude and enjoy the wonderful views over the sea and the chalkstone.
At first you will visit what is the oldest castle wall of Rügen: the "Hengst". It was probably created in a clearly visible manner around 3000 years ago directly on the cliff on which ist stands even today. You will also get to know the approx. 5000 year old large stone graves from the Neolithic Age, the oldest structures in Northern Germany, as well as barrows from the Bronze Age and mysterious bowl stones. Chalk, flint, the ice age and artefacts such as hatchets and blades also play an important role in the hike and help to "understand" the story.
