After 20 minutes of ferry, the "souvenir" island with its Mediterranean charm will give you a stark contrast with the effervescence of Dakar. There, no cars in sight! Stroll through the narrow streets with multicolored houses and bougainvilleas. Your guide will give you a tour of the House of Slaves, the St. Charles Church, the Historical Museum of Senegal and painters' workshops. If you wish, you'll take a swimming break at the beach.
Next, return to the Port of Dakar and drive to the Pink Lake (about 1 hour 30 minutes drive) where lunch awaits you. Between dunes and ocean, the salt lake will dazzle you with its ever-changing purple tones. After a tour of the lake, you'll visit a Peulh village and stop at the salt collectors.
